How to reset the waste ink pad counter

One of the most common problems that require you to use the SAP is when the waste ink pad counter reaches its limit. The waste ink pad is a part of the printer that absorbs excess ink during printing and cleaning. When it becomes full, it can cause ink leakage and damage the printer. The printer has a counter that measures how much ink is absorbed by the waste ink pad. When it reaches a certain level, it will display an error message and stop printing.

To reset the waste ink pad counter, you need to use a different program called WIC Reset Utility. You can download it from here. The WIC Reset Utility can also perform other functions such as checking the ink level, reading and writing serial number, etc. To reset the waste ink pad counter with WIC Reset Utility, follow these steps:

  • Run WICReset.exe file as administrator.

  • Select your printer model and port.

  • Click Read waste counters to check the current value of the waste ink pad counter.

  • If it is more than 100%, click Reset waste counters.

  • You will need to buy a reset key to activate this function. You can buy it online from here.

  • Enter your reset key and click OK.

  • The program will reset your waste ink pad counter to zero.

  • Turn off and on your printer.

You should also replace or clean your waste ink pad after resetting the counter. You can find instructions on how to do that here.

How to download and install the Service Adjustment Program

To download the SAP for Epson L110, L210, L300, L355 (EURO, CIS) Ver.1.0.0, you need to purchase it from a reliable source such as 2manuals.com or orpys.com. The price is around $7-$10 depending on the website. You will receive a download link and a license key after completing the payment. The license key is valid for one computer only and cannot be transferred or refunded.

To install the SAP, you need to unzip the downloaded file and run the SAP.exe file as administrator. You may need to disable your antivirus or firewall temporarily as some programs may detect the SAP as a threat. You also need to accept the terms and conditions of the program before using it.

How to troubleshoot the Service Adjustment Program

Sometimes, you may encounter some errors or problems when using the SAP. Here are some common issues and how to fix them:

  • Error: Communication error - This means that the program cannot communicate with your printer. Make sure your printer is connected properly and turned on. Try using a different USB port or cable if possible. Restart your computer and printer and run the program again.

  • Error: Invalid license key - This means that your license key is not valid for your computer or printer model. Make sure you have entered the correct license key and selected the correct printer model and port. Do not share your license key with others or use it on multiple computers.

  • Error: Waste ink pad counter overflow - This means that your waste ink pad counter has reached its limit and needs to be reset. You cannot use the SAP to reset this counter. You need to use a different program called WIC Reset Utility as explained above.

  • Error: Cannot perform this function - This means that the function you have selected is not available for your printer model or firmware version. Check the program manual or website for more information on what functions are supported by your printer.
